The foundry is a very special restaurant – it is also a butcher. In the store room next to Storegade in Stege lies a butcher, which is open for customers who like to buy good meat to take home. The restaurant guests are allowed to choose a piece of meat to eat in the adjoining rooms.
At Slagter Stig, guests are given the opportunity to point out the steak they would like to eat from a wide selection of expertly prepared meat. In addition to the classic entrecotes, sirloin and chicken breast, you can also try deer or even crocodile steak. Hot dogs are available for children. While the staff fry the meat, you can help yourself to the delicious buffet, which is filled a variety of salads, potatoes, sauces etc.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the ‘small rooms’ are intimately decorated in nostalgic style.
